Correa bed-type CNC milling machine

The Nicolas Correa A20-25, a CNC bed-type milling machine known for its robust construction and capability for heavy-duty machining, is part of Nicolás Correa’s esteemed lineup of milling machines, recognized for their reliability and precision. With a generous table size and extensive travel on all axes, the A20-25 model is well-equipped to handle large workpieces.

A comprehensive geometric and mechanical rebuilding and CNC retrofitting process was completed in early 2024, which included the supply and installation of a new Fanuc 0i-TD 3-axis CNC system and a new electrical panel, with all new switchgear and cabling.  Meticulous attention was paid to the mechanical components, involving extensive servicing to ensure optimal performance.  All slides were accurately re-ground and all counter surfaces were fitted with new liners.  Additionally, a new milling head was imported from Emena (Spain) to replace the existing unit on this machine (old head still shown on the photos in this document).

Presently, the machine the bed has been reground to correct a liner which came loose but it will again be fully operational in our facility, ready for delivery, from early August 2024 onwards.
